Why is it important to perform testing in accredited laboratories according to MKC EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard?
- Domestic legislation in the field of environmental protection, obligates industrial installations to perform testing in MKC EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories;
- The laboratory experts are competent persons which undergo continuous training, quality control and evaluation;
- The accredited laboratory uses highly sophisticated technical facilities that must be calibrated strictly in accredited calibration laboratories;
- The accredited laboratory provides traceability of testing through the use of certified reference materials for control and adjustment of technical facilities;
- The accredited laboratory participates in confirmation of competence, taking part in proficiency testing (PT) schemes organized from the accredited laboratories according to ISO/IEC 17043:2010 and inter laboratory comparison between laboratories accredited according to МКC EN ISO/IEC 17025;
- The testing results are associated with expanded uncertainty of measurement that is crucial for the results around the limit values stated in the legislation.
